PDF

Up to 30 files, 100 MB each, 200 MB per conversion. PDFParser (PHP)

    Settings

"Flowing text" joins lines into paragraphs and is best for editing. "Keep line breaks" preserves the PDF's exact line structure.
Leave empty for every page. Ranges work too: 1-3, 5, 8-10.
Text, not layout. This gives you a clean editable document, not a visual clone. Multi-column pages, images and precise positioning will not survive. A scanned PDF holds no text at all — that needs OCR, which this tool does not do.
PDFParser (PHP). Working from the pure-PHP parser. Install poppler-utils for noticeably better column detection.

How to convert pdf to word

    1. Drop your PDF

Text-based PDFs work; scans need OCR first.

    2. Choose a layout mode

Flowing text for editing, or keep the original line breaks.

    3. Convert

Text is read with its position data and rebuilt into paragraphs.

    4. Download

Open the .docx in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.

    Questions

Why is my Word file almost empty?

The PDF is almost certainly a scan — a picture of a page with no text layer. Recovering text from a scan needs OCR, which is not part of this toolkit. Convert it with PDF to JPG and run the images through an OCR service instead.

Will the formatting match the PDF exactly?

No, and no honest tool can promise that. You get the text, paragraph structure and optional headings in a document you can actually edit. Exact visual fidelity and editability pull in opposite directions.

    Are tables converted?

Table text comes through in reading order but not as real Word tables. Simple tables often survive well in "Keep line breaks" mode.

Can I edit the result in Google Docs?

Yes. The output is a standard .docx, which Google Docs, Word, Pages and LibreOffice all open directly.
